Lights over Oene
Terrace Edition photographer Han Balk didn’t have to venture too far from his beloved Deventer this weekend.
A derby match took place between two teams from villages in the municipality of Epe, in the province of Gelderland.
The distance between VV Oene and VIOS Vaassen is around 10km and the match kicked off at 5pm due to the needle between the two teams. Saturday games are traditional in Holland for teams with Protestant origins and this was no different in the Oost Za 3E (8th level).
A bit of pyro, floodlights, an oompah band, five goals, yellow and red cards and plenty of beer.
