Pyromantic: The Photography of Han Balk

Han Balk was destined to be a fan of Go Ahead Eagles in Deventer. As a child their floodlights shone into his bedroom.

Balk mixes landscape, sports and street photography in a relatable style and knows how to catch pyro smoke before it drifts off into the sky.

His favourite ground is, of course, Stadion De Adelaarshorst, home to Go Ahead Eagles but he has his eye on some old-school grounds in Holland, before they are lost, like many in England.
