Sampdoria Infinita: La Samp, the songs go on

"As long as the Sampdoria fans sing there will be no problems for the future."

These words were pronounced by the historic president of the so-called "Samp D'oro" Paolo Mantovani, an era in which Sampdoria, thanks to players like Vialli, Mancini Pagliuca Lanna and Lombardo and many others, won its first scudetto, managing to reach the Champions League final.

I have always found this phrase emblematic because the passion for Sampdoria is a deep bond that goes beyond simple support for a football team.

It's a feeling that unites people across generations, creating a sense of belonging and pride.

This passion manifests itself during the matches, with fans who support the team beyond any result... but not only that, it goes beyond the pitch, influencing the daily life and culture of the city of Genoa. It is an emotion that brings joy in victories and solidarity in defeats, creating an indissoluble bond between the city, the team and its supporters.

The passion for Sampdoria is an affirmation of identity and a symbol of unity that goes beyond football itself!

Last year, I think everyone agrees, was the most "tragic" one for the Sampdoria club.

Relegated to Serie B and close to bankruptcy. But as they say... the sailor is recognized in the storm!

I had the great privilege of being able to tell the visceral love of the Blucerchia fans towards a shirt, towards the history and towards everything that this unique club in the world represents... and the most beautiful thing was that while I was telling it, I was living on my skin too... precisely because as a fan I am obviously emotionally involved!

A love that is demonstrated week after week by the Blucerchiati fans despite the kilometres, the cold, the heat, the rain, the victories or defeats... there is nothing in the world that can separate a Sampdoria fan from their passion!

Because for each of us Sampdoria is a safe place, it's home, it's magic, it's feeling, it's where passion and love take shape!

Because unlike what we often hear, this is not just a game!
