Mike Bayly couldn’t resist a trip to watch the biggest non-league derby in South Yorkshire.

Stocksbridge Park Steels aren’t quite as old an entity as opponents Sheffield FC (no-one is) but the steel reference hints to a heavyweight history as Stocksbridge Works.

A late Lewis Macaskill goal secured a one-nil win for Stocksbridge, consolidating the Steels’ playoff position whilst, for a club as old as Sheffield FC, form and time are relative concepts.
