Owen has mates at Hellas Verona. So when he’s not at his beloved Edgar Street watching the Bulls, he’ll go home and away with the team with the classical name.

Italian football isn’t all crisp sunny winters and reading pink newspapers with an espresso.

There’s a lot of waiting around, being herded into dead ends and disappointment.

Light a fag, wave a flag, hope 11 men don’t embarrass you. Football’s not that complicated the world over.
